Encapsulated Retinol is not a standard INCI name, and it means the skincare superstar retinol, stabilized and encapsulated with some technology. The correct INCI listing would be retinol and all the helper ingredients (that can be several!) for the encapsulation technology listed out separately.

There are several types of encapsulated retinol on the market with very different pure retinol content. We have seen retinol load being as low as 1-3% up to as high as 12-14%. Read more about retinol here >>
