Oligopeptide-177
Details
Oligopeptide-177 is the tissue protective peptide that is the main part of the patented Trigger Factor Complex (TFC) used by high-end brand, Augustinus Bader.
It is an erythropoietin (EPO - glycoprotein hormone that stimulates red blood cell production)-derived peptide that shows tissue-protective and regenerative efficacy but, unlike EPO, no significant hematopoietic (the formation of blood cellular components) effect.
The TFC has three major components: the peptide itself, a lipid structure with ceramides that serves as a delivery system for the peptide, and amino acids used as triggering agents that stimulate vasculature relaxation and support transport of the tissue-protective polypeptide to the target (CD90 expressing) skin cells.
